Yes, yes... there is an elephant in the room. Prechter & Hochberg were wrong about gold for years! They have apparently reformed. This does not diminish how right they were about most everything else. Timing is always an issue, for all of us. But there are very definite things to be done in a deflationary environment and all the writing I have done about short term treasuries, t-bills and treasury only money market funds, to go along with my precious metals stance, was right out of Prechter and Conquer the Crash.
I remember Jim Puplava and Bob Prechter used to have a friendly debate about which comes first, inflation or deflation. Pups, along with many inflationistas, thought hyperinflation then deflation. Prechter the opposite. Well, deflation leading to apparent hyperinflation it is.
